Multiline Appearance Groups

Purpose

The Multiline Appearance Groups form gives the system manager a tool for changing group types from key system to multicall, or multicall to key system for multiline sets. It provides easy management of key system and multicall groups and is used to specify "Ring Type" for any line in a multiline set group.

Multiline Appearance Groups

Group Directory Number

System-generated, protected field. Indicates the number that is dialed to access the group.

The group directory number must be one of:

  • a key system group

  • a multicall group

  • a station that is the prime member of a key system or multicall group

  • a trunk number that is also a key system group or a single line

  • an ACD threshold alert indicator

  • a prime or non-prime Broadcast Group.

 

Group Type

Enter the group type associated with this group.

Group Members

 

Member

System-generated, protected field. Shows the number of members in the group, and the order in which they appear. For the MiVoice Business for ISS, the maximum number of members per group is 250. For the other controllers, the maximum number of members per group is 32.

 

Prime Directory Number

System-generated, protected field. Shows the prime number of each device belonging to the group.

 

Key Number

System-generated, protected field. Indicates the button on the prime directory number's device which is an appearance of the group directory number. Mixed group members always appear as member number 1 and on key number 1.

 

Ring Type

Select whether and how to ring the line to signal a call.
